Growing steel demand from India and the ASEAN region will offset a stagnation of Chinese demand over the coming decade, said Bold Baatar, chief commercial officer at Rio Tinto, at an industry conference in Singapore.
He added that the company’s portfolio is increasingly tilted toward copper and lithium growth funded by iron ore.
