When it comes to mine environmental protection, remediation after mining is never the right choice. We should recycle waste resources and curb pollution from the source. At Ansteel’s national green & low-carbon technology demonstration project, LONGi’s key magnetic separation units and full-process solutions maintain steady continuous operation amid ultra-fine tailings where 92% of particles are below -500 mesh.
Red mud is alkaline waste from alumina manufacturing. Its long-term storage wastes land and causes ecological risks including heavy metal leakage. We aim to repurpose waste piles into productive mines and convert environmental risks into usable resources.
Given red mud’s characteristics of fine grains, high viscosity, high temperature and high pH, LONGi launches an innovative iron extraction technology for high-temperature red mud. With our core high-gradient high-intensity magnetic separators, high-grade iron minerals can be extracted efficiently.
The technology realizes the resource utilization of red mud, cutting land use and environmental burdens. Its low energy consumption, high recovery efficiency and modular design offer a scalable model for industrial emission reduction. We have helped turn costly waste stockpiles into profitable industrial raw material sources.
Steel slag from iron and steel plants used to take up land and cause resource waste. We revamp processes to maximize iron resource utilization. Our self-developed steel slag reprocessing magnetic separation line optimizes crushing, separation and screening, achieving efficient iron recovery and purified residual slag.
Municipal waste is seen as a burden by most, yet LONGi regards it as misplaced "urban mines".
We deploy specialized technologies to treat incineration bottom ash: upgraded sorting processes lift the recovery rate of usable materials above 95%, retrieving valuable metals for industrial reuse. Our water recycling system realizes zero discharge and avoids secondary pollution, while optimized layout boosts space efficiency.
Equipped with full-automatic control, the line runs steadily long-term and adapts to daily throughput of 300–1500 tons. We turn environmental liabilities into ecological assets. Accurate sorting protects soil, and recycled resources ease mining demands. Every separation helps protect the Earth.
